Propane boilers
We set up boilers for propane and check the tank regulator and line size so the burner gets steady pressure.
Colder winters, rural lots and propane tanks change how a boiler should be chosen and set up. We plan for the real conditions east of the Pitt River.
No heat, no hot water or a gas smell? Call any time, day or night.
Maple Ridge winters run colder than in Vancouver, and homes in Whonnock, Websters Corners and Thornhill feel it first. Some are on natural gas, others run on propane from a tank in the yard, and plenty have a detached shop or garage the owner would like to heat. A boiler installation in Maple Ridge needs to handle design temperatures that drop lower than in the city and a fuel supply that varies from one property to the next.
Able Pro sizes the boiler to your home's heat loss, confirms the fuel, gas line and venting, and lays out how heat reaches each building. We give you a clear quote before any work starts and leave a system that is tested and tidy.
Every property is different, so the install plan is too.
We set up boilers for propane and check the tank regulator and line size so the burner gets steady pressure.
A separate radiant zone in a slab shop floor keeps tools and vehicles above freezing.
Lines that run to outbuildings may need glycol and a heat exchanger to avoid freezing during an outage.
Big concrete floors hold heat well, and a modulating boiler keeps them warm without overshooting.
An indirect tank uses the boiler's capacity to supply plenty of domestic hot water.
We size to Maple Ridge design temperatures, not to a generic Lower Mainland figure.
Out in Whonnock, Websters Corners and Thornhill, larger lots and propane are common, and many owners want radiant heat carried out to a shop. Closer to Haney and Hammond, older homes often still run original hydronic systems that are ready for a modern boiler.
In Silver Valley and Albion, newer subdivisions bring natural gas service and layouts that suit radiant floors or a compact combi. Cottonwood homes are often somewhere in between, which is why we look before we recommend.
We look at the house, any outbuildings, the fuel supply and the existing equipment.
We confirm gas or propane details and size the boiler and zones for your property.
We pipe the boiler, add freeze protection where needed, and connect venting and condensate.
We test combustion on your fuel, check every zone, and explain the controls.
Long driveways, shops and propane tanks are part of the job, not an obstacle.
We think about freezing, outages and outflow winds when we design the system.

Yes. Many boilers can be set up for propane with the correct conversion kit. We check the tank regulator and line size so the boiler gets enough fuel at full fire, which matters on the coldest days.
Often, if the boiler is sized for both loads. The shop usually becomes its own zone. If the line runs outside or the shop may go unheated, we may add glycol on that loop with a heat exchanger to protect it from freezing.
Not bigger by default, but sized for a colder design temperature. A heat-loss calculation tells us how much heat the house actually needs, which prevents both undersizing and costly oversizing.
Modern boilers need electricity for controls and pumps, so they stop during an outage. If you have a generator, we can talk about how to connect the boiler circuit safely, and we always recommend battery-backed CO alarms.
